Hapa Ramen hired FireSpike to redesign and improve their WordPress website when they opened their brick-and-mortar restaurant after previously having just been a food cart.

  • Situation/Who They Are
Hapa PDX, a popular ramen food cart in Portland, Oregon, was expanding to include a brick-and-mortar location.
  • Problem/Challenge.
The company’s website was outdated and amateurish, and included only minimal information. The owner wanted a new, upgraded, website with a professional appearance and which included both locations. The client had a set budget for the work.
  • Key Skills/Experience
At the time, FireSpike already had more than 10 years of experience working with WordPress websites, more than 20 years of experience with websites and graphic design.
  • How We Solved It
Using WordPress and the flexible DIVI theme, FireSpike used the client’s logo and a new set of professional photos to quickly create a look and feel for the new website, using warm browns and black to mirror the decor in the company’s new brick-and-mortar location.
  • RESULT:
The new website was functional and attractive, working well on desktop computers and on mobile devices.
  • Special Value We Brought
Because the client wanted the site to be created quickly and as affordably as possible, design guidelines were left up to the FireSpike team. FireSpike was able to work with minimal delay or change time. Our team was able to work with just the company logo and a new set of professional photos, utilizing the colors & textures from the photos to create the look of the website.
